Hosting

You will need an account to host your site. If you want a site address (URL) that looks something like : http://www.bahais-of-somecity.com then you should talk to your internet provider and they can arrange this.

For affordable hosting there is Bahá`í Communications International's free web hosting for LSA-sponsored sites.

Beyond that there are many commercial hosts - see my hosting recommendations page (at plethoradesign.com, my company's site) for an explanation of my experiences with different ones, and for my recommendations. I would however recommend InMotion Hosting's Business Class hosting, either their Launch or Power plans.

You may wonder what kinds of names or words you may use in your addresses or account names. There has not been direct guidance on this issue from the Universal House of Justice, but the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá`ís of the United Kingdom wrote a letter, addressed to an individual, which was published in March/April 1997's UK Bahá`í Journal.
